Most of the beginners don't know how much light they can use for their planted tank. It's not easy for anyone to tell you the exact amount of light that you need for your planted tank. Provably we use Per Gallon theory to make a light for planted tank. For High tech planted tank if  your tank volume is 10 gallon then consider 4 watt for your high tech planted tank, For Mid tech planted tank if  your tank volume is 10 gallon then consider 3 watt for your Mid tech planted tank, For Low tech planted tank if  your tank volume is 10 gallon then consider 2 watt for your Low tech planted tank.
